A shiner and a skate

I did this one for Not My Small Diary awhile back. It might have benefited from a higher page count and a little more time. Maybe I’ll revisit it. Anyhoo:

“Not My Small Diary” story coming
Posted in Comics, News September 28th, 2012 by Greg

I just finished a short piece for the next edition of the “Not My Small Diary” autobio anthology zine collection thingie, which centers around the theme of “High School”. I’m not going to post that story now, obviously, because you should buy NMSD when it comes out, as it is always fun and full of interesting stories. So, below is my story for the previous edition, the theme of which was “Transportation.” It features my sister and nephew and my only slightly-exaggerated fixation on the benefits of them getting a transit card for a short visit. Enjoy!

Song – So Wrong

Here is an audio recording from my late-tadpole days. Well, somewhere between wet-eared and decrepit. Anyway, it features your pal Greg on, well, everything. I think by the lyrics I must have been not feeling very cheery, so you can ignore that part perhaps. Anyway, here:

Portland Zine Symposium jam comic
Posted in Comics, News August 10th, 2011 by Greg

After two different times registering and then having to bag out, this year I finally made it to the Portland Zine Symposium. I tabled with the affable and talented Mr. Cr. Sabatini, the gentleman I was randomly assigned to table with at the Olympia Comics Fest a few months back. You should subscribe to his Eight And A Half By Eleven Comics as they are amusing and sometimes feature talking dogs and birds (think actual animals conversing, not Donald Duck). Speaking of Chris, here’s a (strange) jam comic we did whilst tabling together – I did the first, third, and fifth panels:

Okay, so this is a bit off in the future, but I will be tabling both days at the Portland Zine Symposium on August 6th and 7th. Go to Portland and look at zines!

New story in Not My Small Diary #16
Posted in News April 26th, 2011 by Greg

I have a story in the just-out issue #16 of the “Not My Small Diary” anthology – two volumes of stories centering around Transportation. Mine involves bus passes, innocent family members and a slight OCD tendency. Grab a copy, as it’s packed with interesting stuff, with a nice cover and layout. Two volumes, around 170 pages of fun! I’m in the red volume, obviously the superior color. Ordering info at the links below:

Not My Small Diary #16

In honor of this special day, a comic quickly sketched in ink with a really crappy pen and photographed with my cellphone. Quickest event-to-comic blog entry ever. Also, I think I’ll pencil first next time. Anyway:
